Tell J Records You Cant Lose Me
This is a contest to promote O-Town on TV (such as TRL) and radio. It will involve several groups and each group is contributing a prize. The idea is to prove Clives comments wrong and promote O-Town by getting them radio and airplay. Read the following for more information.
*How it Works*: Each participating groups will contribute a prize. You can gain points (theyre not actually points but each request or promoting the album just counts as one) by either requesting O-town on TRL (or a similar show), on their local station, a radio countdown, or promoting O2 online and reporting this to your group owner/moderator. At the end of each week the moderators/owners of all the participating groups will report who is currently in the lead overall. The last week of the contest we will do the same thing to announce the winners.
We have taken into consideration that we do not the DJs to just get annoyed at O-Town and fans and have created the following rules on requesting:
1) You can only request at stations near you-within the surrounding states (note: every state has many Top 40 stations plus TATD has been played on both soft rock and rock stations and ISH is also played on soft rock stations) unless its for a national countdown such as Rick Dees or Carson Dailys Most Requested.
2) If you do more than 5 requests in a day they must be spread out over at least 2 different radio stations (DJs do not like hearing the same requests form the same people all the time).
3) Since they often pay more attention to phone requests than email requests, for every three email requests you must have also one phone request.
*How to Report a Request*: You must include your name, email address, any groups you are in that are participating (to avoid being counted twice in the final tally), where you requested, number of requests, the name of the station or TV channels you requested on , and means of requesting (i.e. phone, email).
Thanks!
